v1.4.15 — Dummit & Foote citation precision + direct-sums mischaracterization fix (9 entries)
Every “References” citation of Dummit & Foote’s Abstract Algebra across Chapters 6-10 was a bare book-level reference with no section/page number; each now carries an exact section/page number and a verbatim-verified quote (group axioms §1.1 pp. 17-18, ring axioms §7.1 pp. 222-225, ring homomorphisms §7.3 p. 239, module axioms §10.1 p. 336, submodules §10.1 p. 337, direct sums §10.3 pp. 351-353).
One of these was a mischaracterization: the direct-sums citation (Chapter 10) claimed Dummit & Foote covers direct sums’ “universal property,” but the source’s explicit universal-property discussion in that section is about free modules and tensor products, not direct sums. Corrected to describe what’s actually there (Proposition 5) instead of overclaiming (issue #164).
Also flagged the two Aluffi (Algebra: Chapter 0) “further reading” recommendations (Chapters 6 and 8) as unverified rather than presented at the same confidence level as the verified citations.
