v1.4.16 — Clarify the Nat-as-initial-algebra optional math box; full-book link/citation audit
Restructured the dense single-paragraph “Mathematical reading” box in
Chapter 1 §1 (Nat as an initial algebra / natural numbers object)
into three explicit steps that separate the general categorical
statement (arbitrary $X$) from its specific instance (Nat). Renamed
the F-algebra’s “zero” component from $e$ to $z$, since $e$ was
already reused later in the same box for an unrelated monoid identity
element — a second, independent source of notation confusion. Fixed a
mid-sentence switch from Nat to $\mathbb{N}$, and one instance of
informal α/β slash notation inside otherwise formal mathematical
prose. No factual or citation content changed.
Also ran a full-book audit: checked all 112 markdown files for broken relative links (0 found), dangling citation keys with no bibliography entry (0 found), bibliography entries never actually cited (0 found), and markdown/LaTeX file-parity gaps (0 found).
